Denver food trucks gather for lunch (on Bannock) near Civic Center

If you’re still longing for the street food lunches that ruled the pavement on Tuesdays and Thursday at Civic Center Eats last summer, we have good news.

Every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in front of the Denver City and County building, a separate fleet of Denver food trucks line up to feed the downtown crowds. A varied and ever-changing lineup of mobile vendors — at least three at a time — park on the reserved metered spots on the west side of Bannock Street, between Fourteenth and Colfax. Among the regular trucks in attendance: Manna from Heaven, Route 40 Argentinean Grill, Basic Kneads, Chef Driven and Bob’s Blazin’ BBQ.

There are no tables in which to sit and linger, but there’s plenty of amazing grub and socializing, and the trucks are eager to connect with their fans, which is what the street food lunch bunch is all about.
